Description

Equalizing Metol Photo Paper Developer

Silberra RW-105 Developer is a single-solution concentrated equalizing metol developer for photo papers. It can decrease contrast of prints while using negatives of high contrast, and at the same time it helps to save density and saturation of dark tones. The developer works perfectly with photo papers with expiring or expired date; it also works well with "Slavich" photo paper. While working with multigrade photo paper you should remember that Silberra RW-105 developer reduces actual contrast of photo paper by about a half-step.

Chemical Composition

Metol, potassium carbonate, sodium sulfite, potassium bromide, distilled water.

Preparing Stock Developer (mixing instructions)

Working solution is prepared by diluting the concentrate with distilled water to a ratio of 1:4. The concentrate must be infused gradually, under constant stirring. For softer work you can dilute the concentrate to a ratio of 1:6.

Development Times

Silberra RW-105 Developer working solution can process photo papers for 1-2 minutes and works perfectly with all emulsions.

Usage Limits

Silberra RW-105 working solution's effective usage limit is 0,8 sq.m. of photo paper per 1 litre (approximately 20 sheets 18x24 cm).

Storage

Darkening of the working solution or flocculant sedimentation are possible and do not affect the chemical properties of the developer. If there are white whiskers in the working solution, the developer can't be used any more.

Keep Silberra RW-105 Developer in a cool, dry and dark place. Keep away from children. All the solutions should be stored in tightly sealed bottles, with low internal air volume.

Expiry Date / Shelf Life

Concentrated Silberra RW-105 Developer may be stored in original sealed bottle up to 12 months. Silberra RW-105 working solution may be stored in a closed bottle no longer than 1 month after preparation date. Please note that the working solution is not reusable.

Disposal Regulations

Silberra developers and fixers must be disposed of in accordance with the rules and regulations of the country they are used in. Concentrated developers could be toxic and may harm the environment unless disposed in appropriate manner. Silberra recommends to use special disposal services provided by correspondingly licensed organizations which are eligible for photographic chemistry recycling/disposal.
